the worms are a treat, so cost is low and not a factor..

Poultry love the treat.. to my surprise cats also ate the things.. and wild birds consider the treat a high light of the feeder.. in other words , lots of winged and furred creatures love the stuff so we keep the product on hand for nearly all the critters.. but the dog shows no interest.. he has his own treats..

Birds Love Them !

These mealworms are a great treat for bluebirds-- if you have bluebirds in your area, they will come. However, many other birds enjoy these worms, including: chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, starlings [unfortunately], red-bellied woodpeckers, wrens, robins [those that spill onto the ground], and cardinals, just to name a few. On a down note, squirrels love them, too, so I recommend using a "cage" style feeder to prevent those voracious bullies [just like the starlings] from overtaking your feeder. I realize that starlings and squirrels need to eat, too-- just not in my backyard where sharing is caring.

Great product at a reasonable price.

The wild birds in our yards love these. We go through a lot, now that spring is here - robins, juncos, and other birds are back, plus our year round regulars - woodpeckers, crows, starlings, and chickadees. They are packed well and arrived early.

Certain wild birds love them

I feed wild birds in a field behind my home. Mostly I put out song bird food. Recently I decided to try some meal worms.I spread the meal worms away from the song bird food, because the birds that like the worms often bully others. This is the second brand I have tried, and both are loved by Magpies, starlings and some others.I usually buy two 10 pound bags at a time. Watch out, this time I accidently ordered a single bag containing 20 pounds. That makes storage and feeding a bit tedious. Further, watch prices, they fluctuate all the time.
